Before you decide
Good to know.
- India does not permit dual citizenship — acquiring another citizenship voluntarily ends Indian citizenship (Citizenship Act 1955, s.9).
- ECCIRA, the new regional regulator for the five Eastern Caribbean programmes, is due to begin operating in late 2026. A draft regional agreement proposes at least 30 days’ physical presence in the first five years after citizenship; check whether it applies when you apply.
- Administrative and processing fees are payable in addition to the investment.
