Before you decide

Good to know.

  • India does not permit dual citizenship — acquiring another citizenship voluntarily ends Indian citizenship (Citizenship Act 1955, s.9).
  • ECCIRA, the new regional regulator for the five Eastern Caribbean programmes, is due to begin operating in late 2026. A draft regional agreement proposes at least 30 days’ physical presence in the first five years after citizenship; check whether it applies when you apply.
  • A government contribution and fees are payable in addition to the real estate investment.
  • The E-2 visa is a separate U.S. application with its own investment and business requirements.
