Overview
Portugal’s Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) grants residence to non-EU investors and their families in exchange for a qualifying investment, with light physical-stay requirements.
Since 7 October 2023 (Law 56/2023), real estate purchases no longer qualify. Investors now qualify through a €500,000 subscription to a regulated Portuguese investment fund.
